# How to Change Your Password

Update your Prospeo account password.
### Steps
1. Sign in to your Prospeo account.
2. Click your **profile icon** in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
3. Click **Account & settings**.

4. Under **Change Password**, enter your current password in the first field, and new password in the second field.

5. Click **Change password**.

6. Your password has now been changed.
|| Note: Passwords must be at least 8 characters and contain at least 1 number.

### FAQs
**I forgot my current password. How do I reset it?** 
Log out and click **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page. A reset link will be sent to your email.

**I'm not receiving the password reset email. What should I do?** 
Check your spam or junk folder. If it still doesn't arrive after a 15 minutes, [Reach out to Prospeo Support](https://help.prospeo.io/en/article/get-help-with-prospeo-support-6v4sfr/).

**Can I use the same password as before?** 
**No, old passwords cannot be re-used**, we recommend using a strong unique password for security reasons.
