How to Use the Browser Extension

The Prospeo browser extension lets you find verified emails and mobile numbers, enrich leads, and add people or companies to your lists — directly as you browse, without opening the Prospeo dashboard.

Before You Start

Make sure the extension is installed. If you haven't set it up yet, see How to Install The Browser Extension.

The extension works in three places: on a social profile, on a company website, and inside Gmail/Outlook. Here's how each one works.

Using the Extension on a Social Profile

When you're viewing a social profile of either a person or company, open the extension to see their enrichment options under the Prospect tab.

  1. Contact name and details — the person's name, title, company, headquarters, and location.
  2. Push to Integration — push the profile directly to a connected integration. See Integrations Overview for more details on which platforms are supported.
Note: You can push leads and people to any connected integration (including CRMs and cold outreach tools), but companies can only be pushed to a CRM.
  1. Add to list — save the profile to a Prospeo list.
  2. Contact details — click Reveal email or Reveal mobile to enrich the lead's verified contact info.

Note: Revealing an email or mobile number uses credits. Pushing a lead to an integration or adding them to a list will automatically reveal their emails. Viewing a profile and its company details is free.

Scroll down within the extension to see the company associated with this person.

  1. Company header — the company associated with this person, with a short description and quick links to their site and socials.
  2. Add to list / View Employees — save the company to a list, or click View Employees to see everyone working at that company.
  3. Company details — HQ phone, location, founding year, employee count, revenue, industry, and keywords.

Keep scrolling to view deeper company insights.

  1. Buying Intent — see the company's buying intent signals over time, helping you spot accounts actively researching solutions like yours.
  2. Technologies — view the technologies and tools the company uses, and search within their tech stack.
  3. Funding rounds — see the company's funding history, including amounts and dates.

To see everyone at the company, scroll back up and select the All Employees tab.

  1. All Employees tab — filter employees by job title, seniority, or department, then Add to list, Push to Integration, or Export.
  2. Employee actions — for any employee, click Reveal email or Reveal mobile to enrich their contact info individually.
  3. Credit balance — your available credits are linked to your Prospeo account. If you run low, click Get more credits to be directed to Prospeo where you can top up.


Using the Extension on a Company Website or Company Social Page

When you're on a company's website, the extension displays everything under the Company Details view — the same company information you'd see from a social profile.

You'll have access to the same company details, Buying Intent, Technologies, Funding rounds, and All Employees options described above.


Using the Extension in Gmail/Outlook

When you're reading an email, the extension can automatically detect and enrich everyone in the thread.

If a match is found, you'll see a "Ready to enrich" prompt. Click View to reveal a participant's contact details, add them to a list, push to an integration, and more. You can also click Hide forever to dismiss the prompt.


Accessing Your Lists from the Extension

You can add social profiles and companies to your lists directly from the extension. To view them, click the Lists tab at the top of the extension panel.

From the Lists view, you can filter by who created the list and by type (people or companies), and see the record count for each list. You can also view and manage your full lists on the Prospeo dashboard at app.prospeo.io/lists.


FAQs

Do I need a Prospeo account to use the extension?

Yes. You must log in with a Prospeo account. If you don’t have one, go to https://prospeo.io/sign-up to sign up for a free account.


Does the extension cost credits to use?

Browsing profiles and viewing company details is free. You're only charged credits when you reveal a verified email or mobile number. Pushing to an integration or adding leads to a list will automatically reveal their emails which will cost 1 credit per email found.


What can I do if no contact info is found?

If the extension can't find a verified email or mobile number, no credits are charged. You can try enriching the same lead again later as our database updates.


Can I add both people and companies to lists from the extension?

Yes. You can add social profiles and companies to your Prospeo lists directly from the extension, then access them anytime from the Lists tab or in your dashboard at app.prospeo.io/lists.


Does the extension work in Gmail automatically?

Yes. When you open an email, the extension checks if it can match and enrich participants, and shows a prompt if a match is found.


I'm experiencing issues with the extension not loading, what should I do?

Refresh the page, log out and back into Prospeo, and reopen the extension. If that doesn't work, clear your browser cache and disable other extensions to rule out conflicts.
