How to Remove People from a List

Remove specific people from a Prospeo list, either individually or in bulk using list filters.

Steps

  1. On the left sidebar under Lists, click on the list you want to edit.

  1. (Optional) Use the List filters on the left to narrow down to the exact people you want to remove. For example, to remove everyone located in Toronto, Canada, open the Location filter and add that location so only those leads are shown.

  1. Select the people you want to remove by checking the box next to each name, or click the top left checkbox to select an exact amount. You can choose to Select number of people, Select this page, Select all people, or set a Max people per company limit, then click Apply.

  1. With your people selected, click the delete icon in the top right action bar.

  1. A confirmation window will appear. Review the number of records, then click Delete [X] records to confirm.

Note: This action cannot be undone.
  1. The people are now removed from your list. With the filter still applied, you'll see "No matching people," confirming everyone matching that filter has been removed from your list.



Understanding List Filters

List filters let you sort and narrow down the people within a list so you can act on a specific subset. Some useful ones include:

  • Job Change Tracking — surface people who have recently changed jobs
  • Duplicate Control List — manage duplicate records within the list
  • Saved At — filter by the date people were added to the list
  • Contact Details — filter by whether an email or mobile number is available

You can combine filters to pinpoint exactly who you want to keep or remove.


FAQs

Does removing people from a list cost credits?

No. Removing people from a list is completely free and does not use any credits.


Can I undo removing people from a list?

No. Once you confirm the deletion, it cannot be undone. If needed, you can search for those people again and re-add them to a list.


Does removing people from a list delete the leads I already exported?

No. Removing people only affects the list itself. Any leads you previously exported to a CSV or CRM are unaffected.


Can I remove people from a list using the API?

Currently, it is not possible to remove people from a Prospeo list using the API. You can only manage lists via the dashboard or browser extension.
