How to Search for Companies (Accounts)

Use Prospeo's Company Search to find businesses from a database of 30M+ companies. Apply filters to match your target account profile, preview results, and export company data.

  1. Go to Search → Companies at app.prospeo.io/search/companies
  2. Apply filters from the left sidebar to narrow your results.
  3. Preview matching companies in the results table. You can see company names, employee count, country, city, industry, and revenue — before spending any credits.
  4. Select the companies you want by checking the box next to each name, or use the top checkbox to select all on the page.
  5. Choose an action:
  • Add to list — save companies to a Prospeo list.
  • Export — download as a CSV file.
  • Push to CRM — send your list directly to Salesforce or HubSpot.

FAQs

What's the difference between Company Search and People Search?

Company Search returns company-level data only (industry, headcount, revenue, technologies, etc.) without any individual contact information. People Search returns both individual contacts and their associated company data. Most users prefer to build lists of target companies and decision makers solely within People Search. Company Search is best when you want to see a list of strictly companies first without individual employees — when deciding which accounts to target.

Are the filters the same as People Search?

All the company filters you see in Company Search are available in People Search. However, Company Search does not include person-specific filters (job title, department, seniority, contact details, etc.) since it returns company-level data only.

Does browsing results cost credits?

No. You can browse, filter, and preview companies without spending any credits. Credits are only used when you export or push company data.

Can I find leads at these companies?

Yes. Select the companies you want to target, then click Add to list to save them to a Prospeo list. Next, go to People Search and open the Company filter. Click Bulk include/exclude companiesChoose a company list from Prospeo → select your list → click Include companies in list. From there, layer in additional people filters (job title, seniority, department, etc.) to find the right decision-makers at those companies. For more information, see How to Add Companies to a List.

How many companies can I export at once?

Up to 20,000 companies per export on paid plans. Please note that you will need sufficient credits for the export. It is 1 credit per company exported so to export a total of 20,000 companies, you would need 20,000 credits. The Free plan only allows up to 25 per selection to be exported at a time.

Can I save my search and come back later?

Yes. Click Save Search above the filter sidebar. Your saved searches appear under the Saved Searches tab on the Company Search page. You can also view recent searches under the Recent Searches tab (when you have no filters applied).
