How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security to your Prospeo account by requiring a second verification step at login.
Steps
- Sign in to your Prospeo account: https://prospeo.io/login. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then click Account & settings (or directly go to: https://app.prospeo.io/account/settings)
- Under Security, find Two-factor authentication and click Enable 2FA.

- Choose your preferred method:
- Authenticator App (recommended) — use an app like Google Authenticator or Passwords iOS App
- Text Message (SMS) — we'll send a code to your phone number

If You Chose Authenticator App
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code shown on screen.
you can't scan the code, click 'Can't scan the code?' to get a key you can enter in your authenticator app manually instead.

- Your authenticator app will display a 6-digit code for your Prospeo account. Enter that 6-digit code back into the modal to complete the setup.

If You Chose Text Message (SMS)
- Select your country code, enter your phone number, and click Send code.

- Check your phone for the verification text, then enter the 6-digit code sent to your number and continue.

- That's it — you'll see a Two-factor authentication enabled confirmation. Click Done.

- Your Security settings will now show 2FA as Enabled, along with the method used and the date it was activated. From here you can Change method or Disable it at any time.

FAQs
Which 2FA method should I use?
We recommend the Authenticator App option, as it's more secure and doesn't depend on cell service or SMS delivery. SMS is a good alternative if you'd rather receive codes by text.
How do I change my 2FA method?
Go to Account & settings → Security, then under Two-factor authentication click Change method. You'll be able to set up a different method from there.
How do I turn off 2FA from my account?
Go to Account & settings → Security, then under Two-factor authentication click Disable. A confirmation pop-up will appear, click **Yes, disable 2FA **to confirm. 
I lost access to my authenticator app or phone. What should I do?
Contact Prospeo support so they can verify your identity and help you regain access to your account.
