How to Integrate Prospeo to Close CRM

How to Connect Prospeo to Close

Connect your Close account to Prospeo to push contacts and companies with verified emails and phone numbers directly into your CRM.

The Close integration is shared across your team. Once connected, all team members can push records to Close.

Requirements

  • A Prospeo account on the Growth or Pro plan.
  • A Close account with permission to create API keys.

Step 1: Generate Your Close API Key

  1. In Close, click Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Under Connect, click Developer.
  3. On the API Keys tab, click + New API Key.

  1. Enter a name for your key (for example, "Prospeo Integration"), then click Create API Key.

  1. Your key is now ready. Click the copy icon to copy it.

Note: For security reasons, Close will not display this API key again. Make sure to store it somewhere safe, and never share it with anyone.

Step 2: Connect in Prospeo

  1. Go to Prospeo, then select Integration on the left sidebar.
  2. Find Close under CRMs and click Connect.

  1. In the "Connect to Close" dialog box, paste the API key you copied earlier, then click Connect.

  1. Once connected, you'll see a "Close is now connected" message and Close will show a Connected tag.

What You Can Do After Connecting

  • Push contacts from People Search or Prospeo lists directly into Close.
  • Push companies to Close.
  • Enrich CRM data on demand or automatically. Prospeo fills in verified emails, mobile numbers, job titles, company info, and more on your existing Close records.
  • Control duplicates by choosing whether to merge, overwrite, or skip records that already exist.
  • Push from the Browser Extension — send leads to Close while browsing a company website or social profile.

For step-by-step instructions on exporting records, see How to Push Leads to Close and How to Push Companies to Close.

Close Integration Settings

Click View beside Close on the Integrations page to access your integration settings. Here's what each tab does:

  1. Settings — control how records are pushed to Close. You can decide what happens when pushing a contact or a company that already exists (always attempt to merge or overwrite, or ignore the push), and whether to allow pushing contacts without an email.

  1. Field Mapping — map Prospeo's data fields to the matching fields in Close. This tab is split into People Mapping and Company Mapping so you can map each record type separately. Defaults are used unless you override or skip a field.

  1. Integration & Error Logs — a record of integration activity and any errors encountered, including push results and the reason a record was skipped.

  1. Push Integration History — a history of the records you've pushed to Close, including record type, record count, status, and who started each push.

Notes

  • The Close integration is not available on the Free or Starter plans. Upgrade to Growth or Pro to access it.
  • The connection is always shared between team members. Only one team member needs to complete the setup.
  • You can view connection logs and push history at any time from the Integrations page.

FAQs

Which Prospeo plans support the Close integration?

Close integration is available on the Growth and Pro plans. It is not available on the Free or Starter plans.

Do all team members need to connect Close individually?

No. The Close integration is always shared between team members, so only one person needs to complete the setup.

Will pushing overwrite my existing Close records?

Only if you choose to. Under the Settings tab, you can decide whether an existing contact or company is merged or overwritten, or whether the push is ignored entirely.

Can I push contacts without an email address?

Yes, if you enable Allow contacts without email under the Settings tab. Keep in mind that contacts with no email may create duplicates in Close.

I lost my Close API key. What do I do?

Close only displays an API key once, so you'll need to create a new one. In Close, go to Settings → Developer → API Keys and click + New API Key, then reconnect the integration in Prospeo using the new key.

How do I disconnect Close?

Go to Integrations, find Close, and click Disconnect.
