How to Integrate Prospeo with Clay

How to Connect Prospeo to Clay

Connect your Prospeo API to Clay to enrich leads directly inside your Clay tables.

Note: This integration is linked to your account only. It is not shared across the team.

  • A Clay account.

  2. Find Clay in the list and click Connect.
  3. Click Create an API key on the right side.

  1. You'll be taken to the API Management page. Click Create API Key.

  1. Name your API key, add a description (optional), then click Create API Key.

FAQs

Why can't I push leads directly to Clay?

Clay works differently from our other integrations. There's no native push from Prospeo to Clay. Instead, the integration runs through your Prospeo API key used directly inside Clay, so the data flows from within Clay's own tools (using Prospeo actions on your table) rather than being pushed from Prospeo's dashboard.

Why does Clay still show "Connect" instead of "Connected"?

Because the Clay integration runs through your API key inside Clay rather than a direct connection on Prospeo's side, the Clay integration on your Prospeo Integrations page will still show Connect rather than a Connected tag, even after you've pasted your API key into Clay. This is expected, and your connection will still work as long as the API key is set up correctly in Clay.

Which Prospeo plans support the Clay integration?

Any plan with API access (Starter, Growth, or Pro). The Free plan has limited API access but may work for testing.

Does this use my Prospeo credits?

Yes. Each Prospeo action run through Clay consumes credits the same way as using the API directly. See our API docs for more on how credits are consumed.

What Prospeo actions can I run in Clay?

Once connected, you can run any of the available Prospeo actions on your table data, such as finding a work email, finding a mobile number, enriching a person, or finding emails associated with a company domain. You'll find the full list under Tools in your Clay table.

Why aren't my Prospeo action results showing up in my table?

Make sure your input fields are mapped to the correct columns when setting up the action, since Prospeo needs that data to run. If results are still missing, check that your Prospeo account has available credits and that the connection is active under Clay's Settings → Connections.

I lost or need to replace my Prospeo API key. What do I do?

Create a new key on the API Management page, then update the Prospeo connection in Clay with the new key.

Where can I see my API usage?

Your API usage and key management are available on the API Management page in Prospeo.
