How to Integrate Prospeo with Zapier
How to Connect Prospeo to Zapier
Connect your Prospeo API to Zapier to automate lead enrichment across thousands of apps in your Zaps.
Note: This integration is linked to your account only. It is not shared across the team.Requirements
- A Prospeo account with API access.
- A Zapier account.
Step 1: Create a Prospeo API Key
- Go to the Integrations page on the left sidebar.
- Find Zapier in the list and click Connect.
- Click Create an API key on the right side.

- You'll be taken to the API Management page. Click Create API Key.

- Name your API key, add a description (optional), then click Create API Key.

- Your new key will appear under API Keys. Under Action, click the copy icon to copy it.

Step 2: Connect in Zapier
- In your Zapier dashboard, click Create, then click Zaps to start a new workflow (if you haven't already).

- Click the Action node to choose an event for your Zap to run.

- Search for and select Prospeo.

- Select the action node again to open the event settings on the right. You'll first land on the Setup tab.

- Set your action event. For the full list of available Prospeo triggers and action events, see Prospeo's Zapier integration page.
- Go to the Account tab to connect your Prospeo API key.

- Paste the Prospeo API key you copied earlier.

- Move to the Configure tab. Here you'll map your input fields to the data Prospeo needs to run (for example, a name and company domain, or a social profile URL, depending on the action you chose). Fill in the required fields, then click Continue.

- Go to the Test tab to validate the data you entered. Zapier will run the action once using your input so you can confirm it returns the expected result. Click Test step to proceed.

- After testing, your empty data fields will be automatically enriched by Prospeo, ready to use in the rest of your Zap.

FAQs
Which Prospeo plans support the Zapier integration?
Any plan with API access (Starter, Growth, or Pro). The Free plan has limited API access but may work for testing.
Does this use my Prospeo credits?
Yes. Each Prospeo action run through Zapier consumes credits the same way as using the API directly. See our API docs for more on how credits are consumed.
What Prospeo triggers and actions can I use in Zapier?
You can use Prospeo's available triggers and action events to enrich and find contact data within your Zaps. See Prospeo's Zapier integration page for the full list.
Why can't I push leads directly to Zapier?
Zapier works differently from our other integrations. There's no native push from Prospeo to Zapier. Instead, the integration runs through your Prospeo API key used directly inside Zapier, so the data flows from within your Zaps (using Prospeo's triggers and actions) rather than being pushed from Prospeo's dashboard.
Why doesn't Zapier show as "Connected" on my Integrations page?
Because the Zapier integration runs through your API key inside Zapier rather than a direct connection on Prospeo's side, Zapier won't appear with a Connected tag on your Prospeo Integrations page the way our cold outreach integrations do. This is expected, and your Zaps will still work as long as the API key is set up correctly in Zapier.
Why aren't my Prospeo results showing up in my Zap?
Make sure your input fields are mapped correctly on the Configure tab, since Prospeo needs that data to run. If results are still missing, check that your Prospeo account has available credits and that your API key is connected correctly on the Account tab.
I lost or need to replace my Prospeo API key. What do I do?
Create a new key on the API Management page, then update the Prospeo connection in Zapier with the new key.
Where can I see my API usage?
Your API usage and key management are available on the API Management page in Prospeo.
