Pushing Companies to Close CRM

How to Push Companies to Close

Push companies directly from Prospeo's Companies Search into your Close CRM. Companies are created as Leads in Close.

Requirements

  1. In Prospeo, search for the companies you want to push, whether from Companies Search at app.prospeo.io/search/companies or from a saved Prospeo companies list.
  2. Select your companies by checking the box next to each record. To select all results on the page, check the box at the top of the list.
  3. Click Push to Close. If Close isn't shown, look for it in the Push to dropdown menu.

  1. In the Push to Close dialog, review the credit cost, then click Export companies.

Credit Usage: Pushing companies costs 1 credit per company. Companies you pushed within the last 90 days are exported again for free.

  1. A progress bar will appear. Once it shows "Push to Close completed", your companies are now in Close.

Verify in Close

  1. To verify and view your companies, go to Close and click Leads in the left sidebar.
  2. Your pushed companies will appear here with a Potential status, ready for you to work.

Note: Close uses Leads for company records. Your Prospeo companies become Close Leads, and any contacts you push are grouped underneath the company they belong to.

From here, you can add contacts to each lead, create opportunities, log activities, or update the lead status as you work them.

Close Integration Settings for Companies

You can control how your companies are pushed to Close at any time. Go to app.prospeo.io/integration?name=close and click View beside Close.

  1. Under the Settings tab, find Pushing Settings. The setting that affects companies is "What should happen when pushing a company that already exists in Close?" You can choose to always attempt to merge or overwrite the existing record, or ignore the push and leave the existing record untouched.

  1. Under Field Mapping, open the Company Mapping tab to map Prospeo's company fields to your Close company fields. For example, company name maps to Company Name, website maps to Website URL, and raw address maps to Street. Defaults are used unless you override or skip a field.

Note: These settings apply to every push, so it's worth reviewing them before your first export.

Credit Usage

  • Pushing companies to Close costs 1 credit per company successfully pushed.
  • Previously pushed companies are free to push again within 90 days. After that, they're treated as a new request and credits will be charged accordingly.
  • No credits are charged for companies that failed to push.

Notes

  • You can also push companies to Close using the Browser Extension and from Prospeo companies lists.
  • Push history and logs are available at app.prospeo.io/integration?name=close under the Push Integration History tab.
  • The Close integration is shared across your team. Once connected, all team members can push companies to Close.

FAQs

Why are my companies called "Leads" in Close?

Leads is Close's term for company records. When you push companies from Prospeo, they're created as Leads in Close, and any contacts you push are nested under the company they belong to.

What status do my pushed companies get in Close?

Pushed companies come in with a Potential status by default. You can update the status at any time from your Close dashboard.

Will pushing overwrite my existing Close records?

Only if you choose to. Under the Settings tab, you can decide whether an existing company record is merged or overwritten, or whether the push is ignored entirely.

Do I get charged again if I push the same company twice?

Not if it's within 90 days. Pushing the same company in that window is free. After that, it counts as a new request and credits will be charged accordingly.

Can a team member push companies to Close as well?

Yes. The Close integration is always shared between team members, so once it's connected, all team members can push companies without connecting separately.

Why are some of my companies not showing up in Close?

Companies may be skipped due to duplicates already in Close or a failed push. Go to app.prospeo.io/integration?name=close for the full Integration & Error Logs with the error reason for each skipped or failed push. If you encounter any further issues, please contact Prospeo Support.
