How to Push Leads to Smartlead
Push leads directly from Prospeo's dashboard into your Smartlead campaigns.
Requirements
- A Prospeo account on the Starter, Growth, or Pro plan.
- Smartlead connected to Prospeo. See How to Connect Prospeo to Smartlead.
Step 1: Create a Campaign in Smartlead
Before pushing leads, make sure you have a campaign ready in Smartlead to push them into.
- On your Smartlead dashboard, go to Email Campaigns.
- Make sure you have a campaign ready.
- If you don't have one yet, click Create Campaign to create one.

Step 2: Push Leads from Prospeo People Search or a List
You can push leads from your People Search results or from any of your saved Prospeo lists. The steps are the same once you've made your selection.
- Go to Search → People at app.prospeo.io/search/people, or open a saved list at app.prospeo.io/lists. Apply your filters to find the leads you want to export.
- Select the leads by checking the box next to each name. To select all results on the page, check the box at the top of the list.
- Click the Push to dropdown in the top action bar
- Look for and select Smartlead.

- In the Push to Smartlead dialog, under "Choose your Smartlead campaign (Required)", select the campaign you want to push your leads to.
- Review the credit cost summary, then click Export contacts.

- A progress bar will appear. Once it shows "Push to Smartlead completed", your leads are now in Smartlead.

Verify in Smartlead
- Open your Smartlead dashboard and go to Email Campaigns on the left sidebar.
- Navigate to the campaign you selected during export.

- Under the Leads tab, select the API file you generated to see the contacts you pushed from Prospeo.


Credit Usage
- Pushing leads triggers email enrichment: 1 credit per verified email found.
- Previously enriched leads are free to push again within 90 days. After that, credits will be charged accordingly.
- No credits are charged for leads where no email is found.

- You can also push leads to Smartlead from the Browser Extension and from Prospeo lists.
- Push history and error logs are available at https://app.prospeo.io/integration?name=smartlead
- Smartlead integrations are linked to your account only, it is not shared across the team.
FAQs
Can I push mobile numbers to Smartlead?
No. The Smartlead integration only supports email. Mobile enrichment is not available for this integration.
Do I have to select a campaign?
Yes. Selecting a Smartlead campaign is required before you can export contacts.
Can a team member push leads to Smartlead as well?
Yes, but each team member must connect their own Smartlead API key first. The Smartlead integration is linked to your account only — it is not shared across the team. See How to Connect Prospeo to Smartlead for setup instructions.
Do I get charged again if I push the same lead twice?
Not if it's within 90 days — pushing the same lead in that window is completely free. After that, it counts as a new request and credits will be charged accordingly.
Why are some of my leads not showing up in Smartlead?
Leads may be skipped due to missing email or duplicates already in Smartlead. Go to https://app.prospeo.io/integration?name=smartlead for the full Error Logs of skipped/failed push attempts and error reason. You can also navigate under the Push History tab to download all your previously pushed records. If you encounter any further issues, please contact Prospeo Support.
Can I push leads to Smartlead from somewhere other than People Search?
Yes. You can also push leads to Smartlead from the Browser Extension and from Prospeo lists.
